NLF NGO: An Organization Work on Social Awareness and Development

It was established in the year 1988 and registered under Manipur Societies Registration, 1989 bearing Registration No.135 of 1988 on 9th Dec 1988. The organization started working with covering a small village fully for sports, health awareness, forestry, and education but nowadays NLF working through collective New-working and alliance process and involved in capacity building on the issues like health, Socio-Economic, Human rights, Gender, Women Empowerment, Education, Peace promotion program and Women & Child Rights.

Glory

Children Home

The Glory Children Home Bishnupur which is existed at Moirang Konjengbam Mamang Leikai, Moirang, just near to BSNL Exchange office is the only one in the district for 42 boys inmates which are run by the New Life Foundation under the Grant in aid of the Ministry of women and child development, Govt. of India, under Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS), through Social Welfare Department, Govt. of Manipur since 2013- 2018. Since there were no any children home in the district, the district itself face a lot of problems when children need care and protection like child trafficking, child labor, orphans, HIV/AIDS Affected and Infected children, missing children, displace and conflict victim children and parented abuse and neglects children under Juvenile Justice Act 2000 and as amended 2006 and new model rule of JJAct 2015.

Childline

CHILDLINE is India’s first 24- hour, toll-free, emergency phone outreach service for children in need of care and protection linking them to long-term services for their care and rehabilitation. Any child and concerned adult can call 1098 and access the Childline service any time of the day or night.

VISION:-A Child–friendly nation that guarantees the rights and protection of all children.

MISSION: – CHILDLINE will reach out to every child in need of ensuring their rights and protection through the 4 Cs.

Connect through technology to reach the ‘last mile’.
Catalyze systems through active advocacy.
Communicate and make child protection everybody’s priority.

Awareness Campaign

Childline is the voice of children; Children have been part of CHILDLINE since its inception. It is their service and their ownership of it is high.
We the Childline Bishnupur has been organized 120( one hundred twenty) times Awareness for school children on Childline 1098 and other child-related issues in terms of child labor, child trafficking, child early marriage, drugs and substance abuse in children and education at different schools in Bishnupur District under ZEO zone- IV Bishnupur and DI Moirang. It is organized to reach out to school attending children regarding Childline 1098, its roles and responsibilities for children who need care and protection.
