About  Program:-

We the staffs of New Life Foundation under the project “Peoples response to climate change and capacity building on patriarchal system and criminal justice system in northeast India” underwent fact-finding and data collection on 21/9/17 to 27/9/17 in and around Moirang in connection with the flash flood that took place 4-5 times vastly in Manipur in consecution.
The staff of New Life foundation directly visited and identified180 numbers of worst affected houses due to flood took photographs of the housing member along with their respective house. We again further identified 100 numbers of worst of the worst flood vulnerable household and outreached them their immediate support service by seeking support to OXFAM.
Further, the staff of New Life Foundation approached CHILDLINE Bpr. through telephonic talk to assess the vulnerable children due to flood in terms of health, hygiene, etc. The medical camp was carried out in collaboration with the CMO Bpr. and CHC Moirang at MoirangLamkhai, KhoyolKeithel.
The locality i.e. clubs, organizations, women groups, etc. also started demanding to check the rivers, streams, etc. to maintain in its original physic to the concerned government department as well as to the local MLA. And hence, the major rivers and streams in the constituency were cleaned by the initiative of the local MLA along with the clubs and organizations with the constituency.
