Awareness On Patriarchy System and Gender:-

During the project cycle 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2018, five numbers awareness programs on patriarchy system and gender were carried out by New Life Foundation under the project “Peoples response to climate change and capacity building on patriarchy system and criminal justice system in north-east India”.
The very objective of these programs was to highlight the positive and negative of the social patriarchal structure and gender so that mutual respect love and understanding could be built between sex, gender to bring peace and harmony in the family and society as a whole.

Accompanying Visit Of Women Victims 

New Life Foundation, under the project “Peoples response to climate change and capacity building on the patriarchal structure and criminal justice system in northeast India” during the project cycle 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2018 have carried out four numbers of accompanying visit of women victims of atrocities for legal procedure. i.e.

  • 29/6/17- murder case of Shamila by her husband, Kwakta.
  • 30/6/17- sit-in- protest for the murder case of Shamila by her husband.
  • 20/11/17- Domestic Violence case of Salam Sonika Devi of Keirenphabi.
  • 15/12/17- Attempt to rape case of Keirenphabi and Physical assault of O. Daya Devi of Chingmei.
  • 15/1/17- Hanging Death case of Victoria at Keirenphabi.

Economic Support To The Farmers For Developing Model Cultivation:

It is one of the famous festivals which are celebrated all over India every year. Yaoshang combines the Hindu and indigenous traditions of the Meitei people. It is a very interesting and enjoyable color festival. But there is a little bit different in Manipur as compared to another state. In Manipur, we celebrate this festival for Five days starting on the full moon day of the month of Lamta (Feb- Mar).

Develop Food Bank/seed Bank

To preserve seeds and make stock for future plantation as well as to promote and encourage the farmers and community for minimizing the engagement of fertilizer and chemical seeds as well as to promote and develop climate-resistant crops, New Life Foundation, during the project cycle 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2018 carried out 10 numbers of Food Bank and Seed Bank programs in the various places of its five project operational areas viz, Keirenphabi, Terakhongshangbi, Kwakta, Ngangkhalawai, Upokpi under the project “Peoples response to climate change and capacity building on patriarchy system and the criminal justice system in northeast India.

Collaboration Program:-

New Life Foundation during the project cycle 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2018 underwent a collaborative program under the project “Peoples’ response to climate change and capacity building on the patriarchal structure and criminal justice system in north-east India. i.e. Three days residential workshop on dealing with the past for reconciliation in Manipur from 24th April 2017- 26th April 2017 at Hotel Lake View, Moirang. The program was jointly organized by District Network Committee, UNMM- Bishnupur, and hosted by New Life Foundation- District partner member. Around 25 participants both male and female from different CSOs, local clubs of different communities such as Meitei, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, and different types of Manipur participated in the workshop.
